We pursue opportunistic retail and industrial development in corridors positioned for sustained economic expansion, grounded in the kind of local knowledge that only comes with generational ties to a place.

Founded by two brothers with complementary expertise in commercial construction and investment analysis, Altus brings an integrated perspective to every project — from site selection and feasibility through capitalization, entitlement, and delivery.

The Shaw family's connection to Northwest Arkansas spans four generations, rooted in the entrepreneurial tradition of the region. Our great-grandfather built one of the area's most significant early businesses from the ground up in Elm Springs — at a time when Northwest Arkansas was just beginning to find its footing. That legacy of building from scratch, with discipline and long-term conviction, is something we carry forward in everything Altus does. Both Mason and Connor grew up in NWA and went on to study at the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas — the same institution that later honored their great-grandfather as a member of its Business Hall of Fame.

Mason Shaw
Mason brings a professional background in commercial real estate appraisal and brokerage, with experience spanning market analysis, investment underwriting, and asset-level due diligence across a range of commercial property types. His time with a national CRE firm and as a licensed commercial broker gives him a dual perspective on both the valuation and transaction sides of the business. At Altus, Mason leads deal origination, investment underwriting, and capital relationships.

Connor Shaw
Connor brings extensive commercial construction experience in Northwest Arkansas, with hands-on expertise overseeing ground-up projects across retail, industrial, and mixed-use product types. His deep knowledge of the NWA construction landscape — from subcontractor networks and cost management to schedule execution — gives Altus a meaningful operational advantage from the first shovel in the ground. At Altus, Connor leads development execution and project delivery.
